The ability of sports governing bodies, clubs and
individual sporting personalities to determine and control
the marketing and merchandising potential that can be generated
by success on the field of play - so called image rights - is
of critical importance to the financial survival of many organisations.
This Seminar seeks to inform and instruct marketing, legal and
licensing professionals, as well as those directly involved in
the organisation of sports, on the opportunities and pitfalls ahead.
This seminar brings together sports administrators, intellectual
property specialists and marketing experts to discuss a commercial
sensitive and legally uncertain topic, turning as it does on the
convergence of sporting prowess, personal charisma and good luck
- to say nothing about marketing and licensing know-how!
This Conference is relevant to Sports
professionals, sports administrators, marketing and branding
specialists, licensing professionals, lawyers and intellectual
property professionals such as trade mark agents - anyone with a
commercial link to Irish and International sports events.
